About Dr. Vivek Vaidya
Dr. Vivek Vaidya is a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Fortis Hospital, Mulund, Mumbai, specialising in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, valve repairs, and coronary artery bypass grafting. He completed an advanced fellowship in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery in Germany and has been instrumental in bringing the latest minimally invasive techniques to the Fortis Mulund programme. Dr. Vaidya has performed over 4,000 cardiac surgeries and has a particular interest in complex valve reconstruction procedures that avoid prosthetic replacement, preserving the patient's own native tissue. He is a committed teacher and trains surgical trainees at the Fortis surgical skills laboratory.
